HEALTH CARE DETECTIVES
There are four steps we take to help our patients restore their health:
1. Identify The Problem!
Without understanding why you are unwell, treatment can be symptomatic or a trial and error process. If your diagnosis is unclear, we recommend testing from your doctor, for things like iron levels or coeliac disease.
If your symptoms could be due to a nutritional imbalance, deficiency, or toxicity, we recommend tests such as Oligoscan, Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA), Stool Analysis, iodine levels, and/or food sensitivities.
A detailed look into your medical history often identifies minor and easily overlooked health events which reveal the origin of your health problem.
2. Treat Underlying Causes.
Once it is understood what needs treating, developing a treatment plan becomes possible. There may be more than one treatment option. We aim to provide you with efficient, cost effective and manageable and suitable treatment for you needs.
Treatment options include:
- Nutritional supplementation
- Dietary recommendations
- Homeopathic medicines
- Detoxification of chemicals /heavy metals
- Herbal medicines
If needed, we refer patients to other health professionals appropriate to your situation.
3. Guidance
Once your symptoms start improving, we assist you with health maintenance.
Achieving good health involves:
- Quality nutrition through diet
- Avoiding exposure to toxic materials in the home, garden and when buying food
- Developing a healthy lifestyle
- Learning how to problem solve and manage mental and emotional stress.
4. Taking Charge of Your Own Health
Our goal is to help you to restore your mental, physical, and emotional health, so that you can enjoy and live your life fully.
The World Health Organisation’s definition of health is: ‘Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.’
Tap Your Way to Better Mental Health
EFT = Emotional Freedom Technique, also known as “Tapping”
The EFT (Tapping) technique is increasingly taking hold in modern psychology with many practitioners now utilising this practice due to the verifiable benefits it offers their clients.
Tapping is effective for reducing anxiety, stress and other emotional issues. Tapping can also
increase positive emotions, including boosting self-esteem and personal resilience.
Quite literally, science has shown that EFT can change brain chemistry.
Tapping points
EFT is a method anyone can use, by simply tapping on specifically targeted acupressure points at a time and place of their choosing. For a more detailed analysis of the benefits of EFT, see Professor Peta Stapleton’s recent 15-minute TED talk in Robina, Queensland on the benefits of tapping. See LINK below.

Society as a whole is currently grappling with an explosion of autism diagnosis in babies and young children. For many new parents such a diagnosis can be devastating – not just for their child, but for their entire family.
Does it have to be this way? Can parents be more empowered – with wisdom and lifestyle choices? Karuna Health Care’s Nyema Hermiston thinks so, based on her extensive research and findings on the many causes of autism she has unearthed while undertaking her BSc Hons degree with Middlesex University, London.
Using this information from her rigorous research, Nyema is now offering expectant parents online coaching sessions. These one-hour sessions are designed to guide parents-to-be on how to implement preventative strategies that will help to minimise the autism risk in their babies.
Sessions offered are one-hour in length and cost $90. Ideally a program of three clinical sessions is recommended to cover the range of information and practical prevention strategies.

Are the Causes of Autism in Plain Sight?
Nyema Hermiston recently presented a well-attended and equally well-received presentation in Sydney. In her seminar, Nyema succinctly presented her findings based on her years of dedicated research into autism risk factors.
At the same time, Nyema highlights a range of evidence-based strategies that can help to promote healthy neurodevelopment during pregnancy and early childhood.
This seminar is suitable for health practitioners as well as parents who are interested in benefitting from this newly uncovered data on ways to reduce the risk of autism.
In these three one-hour videos, you are invited to watch the presentation in your own space and in your own time.
Each video is priced at AUD$9.95.
